The Quality, Research and Development Organization organized a training project at the Muhaymideh Center in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor to teach weaving and wool skills. The project targeted women returning from al-Hol camp as well as a number of women from the host community. The training included practical courses in spinning techniques, hand-weaving, and the design of home-made wool products suitable for both local production and commercial sale.
The training was accompanied by marketing support and entrepreneurship training to help participants establish small businesses and facilitate access to local and online markets. The project contributed to strengthening sustainable incomes, building the participants’ self-confidence, and supporting the social and economic reintegration of returning women.
