The Quality, Research and Development Organization implemented a training project in al-Jarzah, rural Deir ez-Zor countryside, to teach weaving and wool skills, targeting women returning from al-Hol camp as well as a number of women from the host community. The project included hands-on courses in spinning techniques, hand weaving, and the design of household products suitable for local sale and wider markets. The training was accompanied by marketing support and entrepreneurship instruction to prepare small businesses and facilitate access to local and online markets. The project contributed to strengthening sustainable income, building participants’ self-confidence, and socially and economically reintegrating returnees.
